The Orchard

We have some 200 trees, mostly apple, many old fashioned that can’t be found in stores. We began planting twenty years ago and are still planting.

Many large commercial orchards grow a single variety on hundreds of acres. We have chosen a diverse selection of cultivars. A cultivar is a cultivated variety. Our trees have come from over a dozen states.

We have both taught and believe that the satisfaction of successfully developing a diverse group - people or trees, far outweighs the challenges. Think of our orchard as a symphony. Just overlook the few wrong notes.

Our orchard is unique in the area. We are certified organic. We use no harmful chemicals and a have a genuine comittment to maintain the best growing environment possible. We are proud of our extensive investment to offer genuine good organic fruit.

UPDATE: We finished pruning last week. There are numerous watersprouts to tie into fruit producing branches and a lot of chipping to do.
